Lowe's has a big selection of those grommets. May find what you need and for about a buck.
I never see oval though.

I would think a round grommet would be able to distort to an oval. My 635 has the same oval hole and I did buy mine from a dealer. Realoem shows BMW part number for a grommet # 34321154322. It shows round in the diagram but I know I received one that fit.

Oval ones are just round ones squished in the middle
But... don't think there are many Lowe's in Germany.
On my part -
I did a Google search on 'oval firewall gromets' and there seemed to be a decent amount come up that might lead to something of interest. I don't know the dimensions of the opening, so could not do any real detailed search.

Don, I do not know the diameter, but BMW has some but it is difficult to nail them down.
