Looking to get a e9

My $10K deal

I'll bet it's advertised in several states beyond CA. The rust looks like what I'd expect in Florida. It looks a bit worse than my car which I bought in Maui. Mine had it's nose replaced after an accident a while back, so that part is clean. I paid half this much for mine two years ago, but it took months to convince the seller I was the guy to take his baby.
With transport to the mainland and buying parts and some tools, my total is just north of $10k and I have only replaced the tires and rebuilt the carbs. There is a large stack of parts ready to go.
She's a driver, but will be taken apart shortly to begin the process of restoration. Doors, rockers, right floor, windshield corners all have rust through, though not horrible. It's way less than other's I've seen. It will be fun, right?

If you want it done right....

As a hands-on kind of guy, I'd rather buy a car with known issues for less than a pretty shiny thing that has hidden troubles that have to be fixed later.
Sure, I'd love a solid car that just needs a little tinkering, but I'm a number of years late for that market.
My coupe is 97% complete, the interior is in great shape and it had a low purchase price. That's what I look for. Rust is a pain to repair, but doable. I've got all the tools for it.
I started out buying VW Beetles with blown motors for $75. I guess I'm sticking with what works for me. I've just moved upscale quite a bit several decades later.

I would also like car with all issues known to me. completely depending on how much I end up spending, it's either going to be a decent car that needs some tinkering to get road worthy. Or a car that needs a full restoration before being driven. Any car in my price range will eventually get a bare metal paint job/9metal and paint restoration) for those of you that are interested I plan on going to the vintage with my S38b36 E30. I may consider selling to help fund the E9.

thanks,

Joseph
