Anyone have some tips about how to tighten this up?
I see a circlip, but not much else to spin or tighten up.

I can't really say from your description in which direction it is loose. If it is in the axial direction, the slop is in the barrel itself (push in-out), then placing a shim behind the circlip will help.

The bracket to which the barrel is mounted has a few (2?) screws, check them as well.

Perhaps even the barrel to the bracket is loose, but I have no clear view on that exact construction, so no specific advice for that, sorry.

My button itself that is loose. The bracket is tight just the button and latch that are loose. Advise on fix?

....there's a tiny spring installed.
The spring action forces the button into outside direction.

Remove the lock and check whether the spring is broken or missing.
If you want your glovebox staying lockable the centre housing would be available. Non-lockable locks would also be available.

Pictures are great. Looks like the cylinder threads, any way to tighten it?

...just by turning the ring clockwise20260319_174429.jpg
The mount for the lock is attached to the body by two screws. Best to take off the mount and then tighten the ring properly.
