I can probably rig something, but maybe there is a "proper" solution to the problem I have had with my lower radiator hose in that it keeps getting worn by the A/C compressor. Is there a special hose for coupes with A/C? I lost coolant after test driving her yesterday only to find a 1 inch wear mark in the hose and it appears not to be the first time as I examined the original hose (never throw anything away) and it had a similar mark.

thanks

Sounds like your ac belt is too long.
You will do better on all your belts if they are just a bit too small to get on the pulley by hand.
Trick is to get them started by hand and then rotate the crank with the big socket and a 1/2" ratchiting torque wrench to finish the job. All your belts will have lots of adjustment available then.

Thanks Don, I had a devil of a time finding and getting the current belt on, so I do see your point, it makes sense, but maybe someone put a different compressor on in her past life or something. Gates listed a bendable hose that "fits" the e9, so I tried it out and it has given me almost an inch clearance from the pully and seems to work well-so far. I'll snap a couple of shots tomorrow.
