Free engine.
I need to free up space in my garage so am offering this here before I scrap it.
I paid money for it and it ran but measured low compression in a couple cylinders. Head is marked 84.
Maybe the number matches your chassis?

Located in Altadena.

Not to be confused with one on Bring a Trailer that Don replaced the engine in w/ a B35. That's a typo. That car is 2250553.

‘84 head for mechanical fuel pump is a valuable item guys- rare for a later head with upgraded coolant passages to be ready for fuel pump.

worth $400.00

I'd be interested in the camcover and timing cover, as mine are (i believe) incorrect:

-Isn't my oil filler cap on the wrong side (rear, should be front)
- I think my timing chain cover has come from a different car. It's about 1 mm too low compared to the head, PO filled it with red fluid gasket; still leaks oil. Am I right to say that it may be too 'short'?

I'm keeping it whole to entice anyone needing it. If I scrap it I'll definitely take the valuable bits off first (like that cast rear cam cover ;)).

Are you missing the section of the valve cover gasket that covers that area?

Update: I needed the space so separated the head from the block. Block is outside in a bag.

Head is now for sale with the valve cover, cam gear, distributor drive, and timing cover.
I haven't checked closely for any cracks in the head but it still has dimples.

Like I said, I paid money for this so I don't feel bad selling it for money-- $300OBO Local pick up in Southern California.

I you're interested I'm happy to examine the head and report but just wanted to update this ad to say the head no longer comes with the block.

Rare 1984 head with dimples for carbed cars
300 is cheap

Hey there, what are "dimples for carbs"?
HB Chris and sfdon are pointing out that the mating surface of the head still shows the machined dimples present meaning the head should still be within usable tolerances, and as to the carbs it shows it also has the mounting location for a mechanical fuel pump.
