m88 long block + parts

In no way shape or form do I need this, nor can I likely afford it given everything else I'm doing car-wise (including next month finally putting that 5-speed sitting on my living room floor into the car), but have to say this feels like it would complete the picture in terms of mechanical upgrade...
 
Yeah that’s a bit. My son was showing me an M5 E39 engine never been run, from the factory, that some guy is selling for $20k. That might make more sense (not for an E9 obviously) than this engine for $13k
 
Man, I sold my S38B36 spare engine in 2008 (when I decided to go for the B11 engine for my coupé and not to finish my second E9) for 2,500 Euros. It was at least the condition of the engines shown... Should have kept it in my parts depot.
Sold a cylinderhead of the second engine that I disassembled for spare parts back then (one piston meltet down) some weeks ago for 1,300 Euro.
