I need to replace the main door rubbers and wonder if there is any alternative options other than the original BMW rubbers, if not who has them at the best prices?

Main door rubbers

Thats a lot of money for a bit of rubber!! Mine are still good up top but cactus along the sill. I had hoped that someone had found another way.

They are expensive, but they quite a complicated thing, made up of 3-4 different profiles, and i guess they don't sell 5-10 a week around the world, hence the price.
Mine fitted ok, but they are a mongrel to fit up the A pillar and along the roof, and then after their fitted you will be slamming the door for the next 6 months to a year to get to close :)

All those times telling the kids not to slam the doors wasted then! I need to change them when I put new carpets in as they look very average. I have a fjord blue car with black interior and I'm thinking I may go with a 'biscuit' coloured carpet set.

They were ~400 USD / side when I replaced mine a few years back. Doors took years to close right after the change.

lower seal

If you just need to replace the bottom part of the seal, get one for a mid 70's Chevy pickup and splice in into the bottom part. The profile is close and you can use super glue to attach it to the ends of the original upper part of the seal. Also check out Lynn Steele Rubber Products for other alternatives. Good Luck, Leroy
