One day I hope to do an auto to manual swap,is there any advantage to using a radiator out of a manual car?The auto radiator is in very good condition whereas the condition of the one out of the manual is unknown and I would have to get it cleaned out to feel good about using it.

I'm using the auto radiator in my car that was swapped to a 5-speed and M30B35. Temps are fine, even on 110 degree days in the Sacramento Valley.

I cannot think of a benefit of swapping to the manual version other than esthetically removing all memory of having been automatic. The transmission fluid circuit is presumably all plugged out when you do the swap, so no difference. The thermal differences should be second order and in my ignorance I could argue both sides of this case.

When I put AC in our 1970 2800CS 4 speed I replaced the original rad with one from an 72 auto CS, the doner car for the AC system. If I remember the Auto rads were a bit larger capacity than the 4 speed cars. I just blocked off the ports for the tranny fluid. I could be wrong on the size difference as it was many years ago.

Anyhow since them the car now has a five speed, the R12 AC works okay, and do not have any overheating issues hear in Fla with the auto rad in the car.
