Does anyone know if Maximillian/Mobile Tradition is still in business? I've been trying to spend the rest of my money on door seals, but their site glitches on the shipping tab and I can't reach anyone. I just sat for 20min on hold waiting...no emails returned..more than a little frustrating,,,and these door seals are unbelievably expensive. Killing me.

Hmm..interesting…i get regular emails from them informing me of rare parts i need for several of my vintage bmws…but just checking with you…I'm talking about Maximillian imported…..maybe Mobile Tradition is a different company/Source

Yeah, I get the same emails and also find that going to the website directly doesn't work. I've made the phone calls and that doesn't seem to work either.
However, if you click on the link in the emails, seems to take you to a slightly newer website that does seem to work. Not sure what's up with that. Anyways, here's the link for all of the available parts filtered for "E9". Ordering from these pages seems to work when I've done it in the past.

I get their emails daily. I have been out to their place a few years ago and they are next door to the BMW dealership in Lancaster Pennsylvania. You may want to see if the dealership will transfer you to them.

Ahhh, interesting about the emails. I actually get those as well, but I tried ordering from the internet, not directly from the email. I’ll try that. Maybe it’s an old site that I keep going to automatically on my browser..It’s crazy that no one answers a phone, the chat thing doesn’t work..can’t get an email response. I used to order from them years ago..

I went to the new site and followed the ‘other models’ tab right back to the old site where it said my account is disabled and to contact the admin…where no one responds..lol. Either that or it glitches on the shipping tab during checkout..I’ll try calling again mañana…sheeesh…never been this hard to throw money away..LOLOL.

good luck on that one Stephen ... you will get your parts, it just depends on how high of hoops you have to jump through to get them.
I know…I’ve been reading the threads..ugh. Just not sure what other option I have. Maximillian didn’t have them in stock and needed to order from Europe for a very large fee…I’m dreading the fee/tariff battle with UPS (United Pile of Sh*t?)
I’ll be sure to keep updating the experience here..

I just bought parts from Max two weeks ago. Shipped to me promptly, no issues. Part was a new badge for my coupe. They were the only one who had it.

Some words of wisdom on the install... it's going to be terrible. The rubber adhesive makes a mess and never seems to stick. I ended up using the 3m priming wipes and double sided tape. It probably will be rough to ever remove, but if they last another 40 years, who cares. Was way easier on the install.

Yeah, those are facts...I've had many, many awful weatherstripping adventures. Cleaning them is definitely key..I hate that adhesive...it sticks to every damn thing...except the rubber...LOL

Apparently weatherstripping adhesive is really good for painted surfaces because it refuses to come off. As soon as you introduce rubber... it just gets everywhere and sticks to nothing.
