If you love Gullwings you must see this. Rented in dvd(not streaming) from netflix Louis Malle's first film shot around 1955. Title: " Elevator to the Gallows" starring a young, obviously, Jeanne Moreau and a Gullwing coupe.
About mid-point in the film a French teenager in a black leather jacket steals the male lead's fifties American convertible. He ends up on a four lane highway racing a Gullwing. Follows it to a motel where eventually he steals it from its German owner. The teen and his girlfriend end up abandoning the car on a boulevard with the doors open!!
There is a scene at the motel where the teen car thief and the owner are examining the engine. Unlike the Master Card ads this really is "Priceless."
