My coupe has been running a bit rough lately...loud knocking at idle after cold starts, goes away at higher rpm or warmed up.

The engine is not stock. It's running a schrick cam and triple side draft webers installed by by the PO. I'd like to have it looked over by someone familiar with this type of setup (I'm clueless when it comes to carbs).

Any suggestions for whom I could take it to on the Peninsula or in the South Bay? Should I just take it to Phaedrus? Any suggestions that are closer?

Harold Hurst would be a good option, I am not sure about your setup but he knows E9s and worked for Weber in Mountain View for many years...
He is in Sunnyvale now, I can PM you the number.

Would love to see your coupe some day, I have two now...one restored, one in need of TLC. I work in MV.
