so the question here is the color of zinc coating on the airbox clamps. i was just looking at my original blade clamps and they appeared to be yellow zinc. i have another set that seem to be clear zinc and a new set of wire clamps that are yellow zinc. in all of the pictures i have of CSi / CSL engine bays you don't get a good sense of the color. appreciate any known info for the original blade type clamps.

appreciate it Rick ... that's what my guess was, i just wanted to be sure before i took things to the zinc coater.

the CS airbox is painted RAL 7043 but my understanding is the CSi airbox is a different color - RAL 7022.

yes i am ... i got a bracket from Mr. Don ... and i have 2 airboxes that are about to go to the powder coater.

i am okay with just using 7022. i don't want to get into mixing ... someone like Terry knows what the proper color looks like. i'm not that concerned. i just don't want it to be black.

Scott,
You have 2 CSi air boxes? You lucky dog. I've never seen one lose and in the wild except attached to a stock CSi engine. Brought the issue of repopping them in front of Paul C and was promptly handed my hat about how that was not going to happen. My air boxes are the E28 ones with a couple of different adaptors. They work fine but the CSi air box is definitely a better solution. Congrats on snagging them.
Regards, Jon

yes, very happy to have them ... not inexpensive, but since i got the mounting plate ... its great to have.
