Minimum tire width for 16x8 wheels

based on the catching a fender lip with the 205/55-16 ... i wouldn't try the 225/45-17 without rolling

I forgot to mention the front fender lips were heavily rolled for the 7/8" x 16" Alpina staggered setup (205/55/16) that came with the car. The 225/45/17 didn't required anything extra at the fender.

205s are a little narrow for 8" wide wheels, but they'll still work. 215 should be better though as a minimum

Thanks for the tip. Did the rears rub also? I like the idea of 245 in the rear. You know, so I can put that 168hp to the road.

No rubbing at rear with 245 tires.
