Just a tip. I don't know how long it will last but I have just successfully restored cracked and partially split front and rear screen gasket rubbers on a 1973 (built) e9 still fitted with what I think are the original glass and rubbers. The stuff is called SUGRU mouldable adhesive. It can be kneeded and moulded to any shape and then it adheres and sets (not quite completely) to any shape. Black in colour. Definitely worth a shot at under a tenner. Check it out for this and other uses. No affiliation. John.
 
My coupe still has the original full length window seal and has a 2" gap at the b pillar.
Right at the window split.
This looks like a minor repair to try.
 
I used a small piece last week to fill a chunk missing from my rear windscreen gasket. So far it looks great. I used another small piece to fill a crack on my dash pad. So far so good with that too. It is available in colors but I just needed black, of course.
