This time to see if I have an M102 or an M106 or something completely different. We're pretty sure these came out of a couple of 745i e24's so we're close there. I've got the head off of one type of turbo, no engine block included, the distributer is driven off the end of the cam directly, no right angle drive. What is it from and what would be a good block to mount this on?
These next shots are off a complete engine. A complete block/head combo, different than the one above. No shots of the side of the head bolted to it, either. Unfortunately it's 800 miles away in another state on the floor of my garage there so I can't just run out and take more shots if needed. If these aren't correct, where are the identifying numbers located on the block? Should I have my helper try to take some shots of the "turbo" (if it's there on the head) on the complete engine?
I've Googled both M102 and M106 but I really can't tell which is which. Any suggestions?
