More coupe stories--subject--the BLUMAX

Let's all not forget the fact that Murray is 80 years old and uses a computer!!!

Cheers Murray!

Murray, belated birthday wishes from the other side of the pond.

A couple of years ago I was almost outside your back door but didn't know about this forum then ... a pity because you and so many appear to be in or close to that area.

I hope you make 500K miles in Blumax and enjoy every one of them.

Happy Birthday Murray,

I received the handbrake grip and button today - they are like new - well the button is new!

For all you other folks - I posted on here about getting an old style handbrake grip - Murray contacted me and said he thought he had one and would dig it out when he got a chance - he sent it over the water to the UK at no charge. What a gentleman.

The wrong handbrake grip has been annoying me for years and tomorrow I will be able to go out and change it. One more thing off of the to do list thanks to Murray.

Rohan

Murray,

Sorry for the late jump onto the birthday bandwagon- hope you enjoyed it in good health! Many thanks for your comments and insight over the years.

Cheers!

This "old Coupster" is truly touched--

By the outpouring of Birthday Greetings--some from friends that I have known for years and their involvement in Coupe happenings--and many whom I may never meet in person--so must add that turning 80 has been made easier by some of your kind thoughts so well expressed--and that the simple matter of each having deep appreciation for a special car has brought us to a form of brotherhood.

By the way--out in the Blumax early this morning traveling South on the 405 running at about 90-not kph--mph--heading to Cars 'n Coffee noted two pairs of headlights rapidly overtaking in the fairly light traffic--first by was an almost new Ferrari of unknown model ID and following closely behind at a respectful space was a Viper--decided to join in the fun and slid in behind the Ferrari--remember we used to call the Coupe "the poor mans Ferrari"--well--the Viper driver was anxious about my taking his spot and the moment there was space he let me know that the BLUMAX was not in their performance class--although I did enjoy the 2 miles I had tagged along following the Ferrari at about 110 mph--but don't tell anyone.

Arrived at Cars 'n Coffee in time for a very good parking spot and was among the approximately 400 cars that eventually showed up that included possibly one of the largest gatherings of NSX's in North America--every color I believe 2-3X over--the weather was great and the turn-out huge!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Woulda never thought it was your 80th. 39, maybe. When you're cruising around looking for someone to buy lunch for stop by the shop and say hi (Coast Motor Werk in Huntington Beach). I'm there many days working on my 'new' (non- coupe related) project. You have my cell#
