More Tariff Madness

Another datapoint. About 4 weeks ago I received a $300 package from MVP in Taiwan via FedEx with no tariffs charged.

I asked Walloth if Fedex was a possibility and they said it isn't.

Does anyone have a recent experience with the UPS charges on Walloth orders?

I did the same from MVP via FedEx, and actually returned the package. A bill came from FedEx for the tariff just a week ago or so, more than a month after the package came. I sent them a dispute saying I would not be paying it as I had no opportunity to refuse receipt and the package was sent back. FedEx has not responded to me, but not sure how they plan to collect after the fact.

You returned the package or FedEx held it and sent it back for non-payment? What was the purchase amount and tariff+fees?
 
Hal, I understand your position perfectly. The items I had and am having shipped are correctly valued under $100.00 Used vintage automobile parts in good condition. My next purchase from Germany will, hopefully be a cover for my Bavaria's windshield wiper motor.

And yes, this is maddness in extremis. The way the entire Federal Government is functioning. I had a friend who worked for Radio Free Europe for a guy he named,

"The Lacky of Pure Maddness." Now we know what Pure Maddness looks like.

Longish story, but they sent the wrong item and let me know before it arrived. I planned to refuse it, but FedEx dropped it off, no tariff notice or collection. I returned the item via FedEx (MVP sent a return label). All seemed fine until I got a tariff due notice from FedEx a month later (52.5%!). There was simply an email address for disputes, so sent them a note, have not heard back.
 
In November i also found out that FedEx sent tariffs invoice in USA after delivery (was sent after ca. 2 weeks) - tariffs 15%
