Are there many riders with coupe's.I just purchased a KLR 650 (05 with 2300 miles) and plan on doing some Fire road riding/fishing and around the Tahoe area.

I am buying an adventure Touring bike when I hit 60. Still 5 years off. Like the KLR. Been reading a lot about different adventure bikes. Going on a two day Single Track trip in Oregon next week on a KTM 250 two stroke. That should be fun.
Here is a great link to a BMW adventure bike build thread.

Cool job your Bro has Gordon! I'm a MXer and to old to really do that anymore(don't want to get hurt) but I still Snowboard and that's enough danger for me at 55.I plan on doing limited street riding only to get to the backwood trails in my area and hoping to hide it from my boys(23 and 20)because I know want they will want to go with it.:)

Yep....'71 Triumph T100 R for nostagia.....R1150RS for real riding. Friends say the ABS is "cheating" feather the front....so cool. Put them on the right shifter....all bets are off!

Want to ride a different bike every day?
Check this place out.
Little bit biased.
My brother owns the establishment.

I"ll be in Oregon for ten days. I think I want to meet your Brother. This is exactly the type of fun I could fill a couple of days with. Just hope my body holds out. Doing three days of ski race training at Mount Hood followed by two on the dirt bike. I might have time to fit this in while my daughter is at race camp for the 2nd week..

Here is his contact info. He is always up for talking about motorcycles. If you find him in a state of anxiety give him a chance. He is a great guy but his business is truly just starting to take off due to a couple of motorcycle magazine articles. This is making him feel a little stressed.
plus his lodge/B&B is having a big music festival Aug 16,17,18 to benefit M.S. I am doing my best to have my side draft project done by then to drive the coupe over for the festivities.
call him and say Gordon sent you. Let me know how it goes.
Nicad, you must be an adrenaline junky!

After having the KLR for about a year the bike is not at all comfortable for any long riding trips. They are made cheap and the vibration drove me crazy so I sold it and pcked up a 1989 NX650 Honda that needs some work but waaay more comfortable and the motor is way more balanced so don't go with the KLR no matter how much cheaper they are!
