FINDING it impossible to find anyone to inspect my original owner 3.0cs for inspection and BC licensing. I’ve relocated from Ottawa to Vancouver. Many thanks.

Looks like a nice car send me a private message and I can give you my phone number and email info You do know what BC stands for ? Bring Cash but coming from Ontario, it's about on par

There are quite a few coupes in the area but they don't come out that often

Love Vancouver! So beautiful. I've ran the Vancouver Marathon twice, it's a great race and route.

There is a pretty active e9 crowd in the Seattle area that's not horribly far from you.
 
Happy stphers has made contact with you. Could not find a more knowledgeable, "seasoned" E9 specialist in the entire Lower "Rainland". Rick is right, we have a few Coupes left here, that are actually put together and run, but events are few, and we just don't have many organized activities. Perhaps time to change that!;) Welcome to BC! Like many places, lots to like, lots to complain about, but still happy to make this area my home! :cool:
 
Yeah - there are a few of us in the Seattle area that get out every so often.
This time of year though - things are pretty quiet now though (except for the short notice "hey the weather is nice, lets go out" drive and get-to-gether).
Things pick up in the May time frame....
If you'd like to be put on the email list for the Seattle group - let me know.

Many thanks, and I would love to be on the mailing list. At the moment I’m trying to get the car inspected and licensed. BC bureaucracy is driving me nuts. Everything is by appointment only resulting in perpetual music on hold or no call backs. While I have been able to get a driver’s license, because of my age, the government requires a medical certificate… but it’s impossible to find anyone who will take a new patient. Other than that, we love Vancouver, and being close to our grandchildren.
 
Welcome to the PNW as others have said. I'm sorry you're having difficulties with the registration process. It is, by and large, fairly easy for us to transfer a title/registration when moving from state to state.

Original owner - wow! I wonder how many E9s are still original owner cars? Probably not too many!

@rsporsche - do you know how many original owner cars are in your Coupe Ancestry project?

Nice to meet you.The car went with me to Nashville where it had a bare metal restoration in the mid nineties, then on to Atlanta, and home to Ottawa.I might have found a place to get the inspection done tomorrow…fingers crossed.I too would love to know if there are any other original owners out there… Haven’t met another one yet.lol

not many. don't have an accurate number, but my guess would be less than 10. i have seen a few listed, but i don't know if their car has been sold since their last post (some 10 years ago)

Hi Rick. I’m slowly getting used to this forum. If you don’t mind I have a couple of questions. I have lost my front license plate bracket that is used to attach the plate. I took it off years ago because I hated the look. Just in case I always keep the plate inside, hoping police would accept that I simply forgot to put it back on after going to a show. I never got stopped. If required, do you know where I could get on? Second.Although the c passed the inspection and I will get the plates tomorrow: I’ve sensed that the steering feels heavy.In contrast the Jag feels very normal. Any thoughts?

Hi I have some frt license plate brackets that I made up awhile ago for 2002's and coupes 1/8 ' plate steel, plated silver and comes with all hardware in stainless steel I was selling them for 40.00 US I can sell you one for 40.00 Canadian I should have a couple left.

How tight is the P/S belt? What color is the fluid? Check your tire pressures, if they are low, steering will feel heavier but coupes are not well known for real light easy steering You should drop by the shop this weekend, it is nice all weekend I have 71 2002 ti that is going Sat back to the customer after a full on metal up restoration
Address is 3051 Spring St, Port Moody Come out thru Hastings onto the Barnett hiway, nice drive

Many thanks, It’s a deal on the bracket. licensed in BC and additional Hagerty insurance, it’s on the road. I can’t make it this weekend because we are joining our son and granddaughters in Whistler for Thanksgiving. With some good weather I’m looking forward to meeting you and the drive over. I may or may not be on the mailing list, but if not I'll message you to confirm! I met @BMW Pete a little while ago at one of the Redmond Exotics car shows and talked for a short while as things were winding down. If that is the same list then I should be good to go!
