Will always remain a mystery to me as to why the original Csl 38cm leather Petri‘s went missing on majority of the Csl’s. Most have Petri‘s but the foam ones!

I gues back in the day people changed them out for a different style to suit their personal preference, unconcerned for affecting any future value.

i meant that the Csl’s have Petri’s, just not the original leather bound ones.

Looks like the rear csl badge pins are putting large indents in the boot/trunk rubber seal, is this normal ?

Missing a few bits? Unless its a non stadtpack car. But it does have the boot lid liner and tool kit.
Missing boot side panels, panel at front of boot
elephant skins over rear wheel

I took my turbo to "Munich Legends" in the UK for some work back in the 90s before I moved back to the USA. My recollection of that operation is not positive. I recall it was some distance out of London. When I arrived, some greasy mechanic was wrestling with the front suspension of an E9 sitting in the gravel on the driveway outside the shop. When I picked up my car, there was a fresh burn mark on the passenger seat which I thought at first was a cigarette. They denied it. Upon reflection, I think it was from a shop light. It's still there.

I am wondering if this is a car i came so close to buying back in August 2009. Ebay sale, circa £11.5k possibly. Can't recall the reg or chassis number from back then which would confirm, but i do have a number of photos from the then seller. If it is the same car, regretted for some time not snapping it up.

Noted a few details on the pictures and the ones i have. Were rear seat belts a factory or aftermarket fitment back then. Noted the central mount in the rear parcel shelf.

Didn't think the city pack cars had the elephant skin. Mine doesn't, not that this proves anything!

Was wondering if this is the JK car that failed to sell at auction recently, but I think not, having looked at the photos of both. Overall nice condition I think

When I asked the same question they said it was a different car…

Just found the original ebay advert on my computer for the white car i posted above.

Checked the registration of the one being sold by Munich L on the UK MOT site, share the same registration date as the ebay advert

Whole load more photos of the car from back in 2009
