I've made the very difficult decision to let the old girl go, as I've really got too much happening in life right now to do her justice.
And although I've grown fond of her in our short time together, she deserves better.
So with any luck, she'll find the right owner and hopefully I'll recover most of what she owes me, along with a small part of my sanity!
Great car, and a great supportive community on this forum.

Not sure what to say other than I'm shocked at the decision! You were a great addition to the community, loved the enthusiasm and thought to myself "what a perfect new caretaker." I'd really reconsider and looking from the stable, wouldn't you rather sell the 88' e28? I'm biased of course, anyhow, shoot, please take your time vetting the next buyer and let them know we are here to help, oogle and ahhhhh as they take over the caretaking! Cheers! GB

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen - GB, I was very humbled by your comments, and you almost talked me out of it!
I'll certainly be doing due diligence on any potential purchasers to ensure that she goes to the right owner, and will be recommending this forum, for sure.
Having said that, I'm not in a rush to sell, and the car is priced accordingly, so let's just see what eventuates.
Cheers.

She looks great! Anyone have any idea how easy to ship from NZ and register a car in the UK?

Shipping is very easy, with a port-to port shipping time of 5-6 weeks.
I'm told that UK registration is straightforward as well - many classics from NZ have been shipped to the UK over the years.
If you're interested, I can provide the name of a reputable shipping company here in Auckland, who specialise in vehicle shipping.

Yes please do - would like to get an idea of costs off them
Cheers

Just as an update, the shipping cost from Auckland to Southampton has been quoted at $USD1700, with the car shipped in its own 20 ft container.

Well, I said goodbye to my lovely E3 last week, as she is now sold and headed for a new home in the UK.
Her new custodian seems like a true enthusiast, so she will be in good hands, and hopefully he will chime in on this forum in the near future.
Although my short tenure as her keeper meant that I wasn't too attached to her yet, it was still difficult letting her go, as there are very few left in this condition.
I'd like to think that I'll return to E3 ownership some day, when there is a little less going on in my life.
Until then, thanks to everyone on here for the hospitality and all the helpful advice.
Cheers.
