This 1:18 scale 1971 BMW 3.0 CSL is a replica of one of 169 examples built between 1971 and 1972. The model was reportedly built new in China before it was imported by the current owner. The car is finished in Colorado Orange over hard black plastic upholstery. Power reportedly comes from a 3.0L inline-six with Zenith carburetors mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.45 limited-slip differential. Features include the 21.1mm leather Petri steering wheel, lightweight polyester bumper, Perspex rear and side windows, an aluminum hood, and aluminum trunk. The carpet is so thin that if coffee spills on the floor, one should expect a rust hole shortly thereafter. Dusting and an occasional spray wash will be performed by the current owner. This 3.0 CSL is now displayed with manufacturer’s literature, a BMW AG licensing hologram, and a clean bill of sale in the owner’s name.
