Hope it's ok to post in this section. I hit go on the auction this morning and two hours later it went live - can't believe how fast it happened.

yes Vince, of course its appropriate to post your auction here. and we all wish you all the luck possible to bring you appropriate money for this car. i do have a question, as somebody who never drove a car with one of the ETA engines, how would you compare it to the regular BMW injected engine ... like the e30 325i with the 2.5L m20

At the risk of hijacking the thread I've had a couple of 325e cabriolets. I don't mind the engine. You can get a modified ECU chip which increases performance. I'm also aware there's a head swap option, which turns them into a bit of an animal over and above a 325is
They are becoming more sought after here in Aus.

Hi Scott, I've never driven a 325i or 325is either, so can't answer your question. The lower ratio LSD really does get it out of the hole faster but it is not a fast car compared to my other cars - it doesn't feel slow either. What's amazing is solid it feels, there isn't one rattle and it handles great. Definitely going to miss it but really need to start driving my other cars more. My M3 just sits there.
