I’m pretty sure I saw you at Pebble Beach a few years back. Not too many Bronzit euro cars running around. Gorgeous car.

First car that got me addicted? 1980 Triumph TR-8. Great father son project.

What car started you down the manic path?

I was into watercolors VW’s and Jeep Cherokees for a long time before fawning over BMW’s. I was on my way to view an e28 listing when I stopped and put an offer on my neighbor’s e9.

Lovely e28 btw. Bronzit is a beautiful color when “done right”.

Love that E28.

Have to say the ex-Robert .T. DeForest 1932 Packard Twin Six 906 Victoria Dietrich set me on my car craziness. Was reunited with this car at Pebble Beach this past year after a 35 year search.

I love how the headlights have the same V as the grill. Packard's style really went down fast in the fifties, it was like they couldn't figure out how to integrate
that classic grill into a more modern streamlined auto.

that e28 looks fab. always makes me feel so sad for my daily driver when I see the same car in such good condition !!

What a fun auction to watch. My buddy and I were watching it over lunch, it just kept going and going.

Beautiful car!

This car has been here in Atlanta and was part of our group here in Georgia called BMW Classics of Georgia. I saw it at Legends in 2013 when Mike won best of everything. The car remained very spectacular with it's next owner it's just that we couldn't get him to bring it out.
Sorry to see it go. Amazing car and glad to see it hit such a big price. He has a couple more that will be coming up for sale. Just not as spectacular.
