Need a trustworthy shop in Santa Monica area (02 325i)

My niece needs to have her car looked at for a check engine light. Needs to smog it and the light is on. She says the idle goes up and down and the car doesn't seem to have as much power. Sounds like a vacuum leak but it needs to be checked out.

Any suggestions? Its an 02 325i.

Sorry, I don't know of anyone on the West Side. Try calling Jerome at Ireland Engineering to see if he can take it or knows a shop closer to SM. (he is near Pasadena, so a bit of a drive from Santa Monica)
