Hello to all-
In the 1980’s I imported a 1974 CSi from Bologna, Italy. It was Fiord blue with navy velour. It was unrestored and honestly had no rust. I have always regretted selling it. I have just purchased a ‘72 CSi that also spent it’s entire life in Italy. Hard to believe but absolutely no rust and no accidents. Fully restored-Malaga/black leather, etc. Purchased from Oldenzaal Classics in the Netherlands. About 800 km since completion. Haven’t owned a classic BMW since my 2000 Z8-wish I hadn’t sold that one!
Hopefully this forum will be able to recommend the best sources for E9 parts. I also will need to purchase the appropriate literature i.e. Owner’s manual, other glove box literature, sales literature, etc.
Thanks

Welcome.......back. Now older and wiser. Forum is filled with knowledge and people who will talk you out of selling this one if ever that time comes.

Congratulations! Fully restored means you shouldn't need parts for years! :) Lots of opportunity here for buying parts and learning more about what you've got, welcome!

I am such a perfectionist that there will always be little stuff to do. Any comment/thoughts on Oldenzaal in the Netherlands. The owner/Bulent is very easy to work with and obviously knowledgeable.

Let’s see if I can post some pics

Welcome. That’s one beautiful coupe. Malaga over black interior is an awesome color combo.
I hoping to swap my Malaga 2002 to black interior in the future.
September can’t come fast enough.

Condition as described?
Sorry to report that I decided not to purchase the ‘72 CSI.
I had no trouble with the seller but I just didn’t feel comfortable buying a 118k vehicle without seeing it. I did notice a 3” split in the plastic instrument cowl covering which told me that an inspection was probably indicated. Under normal conditions I would have taken a flight to the Netherlands with my wife and enjoyed a week in Europe. Covid however has made that essentially impossible.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Very tough decision.
