hey guys,
in talking with one of our local Atlanta area coupsters, Phil mentioned that he bought new rear belt trim from BMW ... i cautioned him that it might not fit ... and that i had an original one and a new one that is 5 years old. Phil brought the new one over to the house tonight and we compared them. the one that didn't fit had 2 basic problems, the curve to the trunk was wrong and the width of the trim at that end didn't taper like the original
The good news, the shape of the very new rear ones match the shape and curvature of the original. No idea if BMW has sorted out the shape of the front trim ... but this is encouraging
