Nice Tiaga CSi in Austria

Should be no problem getting that car in the USA; just need to get a shipper.

What's that thing on the dash? HAM radio?

That's a rally meter, such as Halda and others. It hooks to speedo cable and is used to measure time and speed and distance very accurately.

its a terratrip rally odometer. if somebody buys the car and wants to part with it ... let me know ... i might be interested. its an older model - probably an electric model, halda is a geared model ... you have to change gears to calibrate the odo ...

Nice car

It should be possible to import this car without issue. I still have my import documents & although it's a lengthy process, it's possible....

I would personally find a broker & pay the premium to get it done (2500-3k ?)

It's 25+ years old so no problems, just dot saftey check + full documentation of vehicle vin & condition.

Nice car, although the fender grilles should be black (as the hood vent grilles are) and having the headlight access covers would be nice as well since they are available. Really hoping to have mine on the road soon which will look very close to this, although with a black interior....

it really depends on how they mounted it. it looks like they may have taken one of the half-round wood pieces off ... which would mean not too much. if it is electronic, they only needed a bolt and a hole for the sending unit wire (2 - 1/8" holes)

i would have never mount one hard to the dash. i would have probably located it in place of the speaker grille so that you wouldn't damage anything.

Cosdel for shipping etc

Guys,

Its absolutely no trouble to bring it in over 25 years old, no testing of anything, just get the paperwork correct.

I always use Cosdel , they have always managed the situation perfectly, a bit more money than doing it yourself, but then have been doing this forever and its worth it.

Also, they probably have shipped more important cars to and from the USA than anybody else.

Pete
