Well, that’s not exactly right. But you can easily make your own in about three minutes using an easily sourced Porsche part.

While recently looking at my 74 CS wiper spindles, I noticed that the large locking nuts on the spindle arm are the same as a Porsche 911, and Porsche still make wiper spindle caps.

This got me thinking - what if I cut down a 911 cap with a small pair of side cutters? Bingo, it fits perfectly. AND they finish the spindle area off perfectly.

The cap - part number 901-628-926-00 ‘cap’ - can be ordered as a genuine part through your local Porsche parts desk, or aftermarket online.

What's the Bmw part no. for these caps? I'm always keen to trace down bits of my car that have mislaid, but I couldn't see these on realoem

Thanks

I have a feeling that Scott may have unintentionally misled in that he noticed that the Porsche caps will fit an E9. Happy to be corrected. I'll take this up though as I think it's a nice finishing touch.

So off to the local Porsche dealer - "I'll have two of part number 901-628-926-00 please", "certainly sir, that will be $873.54.........each".
