Given how these E9s can go for six figures if restored/presented right, this still might be a good restoration candidate if you play your cars right.

I belong to several VW BUS forums and man, $14k will buy you a bigger pile of rust for a plain jain Kombi, maximum restored value maybe $80k.

Wish I had unlimited money. Money can’t recreate that patina. I’d send to miklos for all rust repaired but leave the panels and paint the way it is. Restore everything else with a fresh interior, and 3.5 on polished triples and dropped on a set of 16” Alpinas or polished BBS RS.
