@Keshav - Correct me if I am wrong but to restore those spokes, you would have to remove the original leather wrap/rim which would devalue it quite a bit...

Tyson,
The Petri @Wladek just sold has been thru the process you mention and is basically the best solution second to original. He could best describe the process and maybe even the costs associated so as to calculate feasibility. In the case of the authentic CSL wheel for sale, that would be an option for a CSL owner who needs such a wheel inspite of the effort and costs involved. Good original ones are getting hard to find.

Frank Franker, who also sells wheels? Condition of this one does not seem to match the asking price.

It has sold apparently.
very nicely preserved items go for 4000 euro/usd, so this one has some margin.
hypothesis: unwrap the leather carefully, weld (braze) up the corrosion. re-nickel plate, re-stitch the leather?

Don't know & one can't see on that website. If there were a lot of offers, seller may have even sold it for more then the asking price. If the seller was happy to get it out of the way, he may have accepted the first bid.
I did not buy it. (It would be 1/3 of the value of my whole car when i bought it....)

How much did it sell for?
My take is…. He offered it for €1750 negotiable. Considering it was available for almost 48hrs (extremely long for a CSL Petri) he probably got around €1500 for it. Being that seller ships internationally, buyer could be amidst us.

Is seller Frank Franker?
@HB Chris i don’t know Frank’s last name…… but he’s the one selling Petri wheels.

I believe he is the same person here as my Petri also came from him:

If I am wrong and I don’t think I am, someone can let me know.

I was in contact with the seller. He offered a price of 1600 euro. Said he had two interested buyers from the US and one from Switzerland. I eventually passed on it. Friendly and serious guy. Didn’t get his last name.
