NMNA: decent Petri to restore

1970's Vintage 38cm Petri Steering Wheel BMW E9 3.0csi E10 2002tii VW Scirocco | eBay

This one has a VW hub, but a BMW hub could easily be installed by the new owner. All spokes are stamped on the back with the Petri logo and 38. Grip is tight and in good condition for it's age.

Spokes look rusty. Might need a pretty major revamp..

That usually involves cutting the nice rubber cover off, finding a place that can so the satin chrome and then put it back together. Lots of steps that can go awry...

@Markos -Didnt you undertake something similar?

I was poised to throw in my patented last few seconds bid. Then the current bid crept up, so I re-typed. Then it crept up again, and I retyped. But by then it was too late. My method betrayed me - ha ha. All for the better. My big project has enough sub projects already. I didn't need another one.

At 455.00 I wasn't sure if I wanted it. Still a great price for a Petri.
