So neet...

Does the 100% locked differential preclude street driving?
strictly speaking. No, but …

It’s really hard on the differential, axles, and the tires. CW says you will eventually break the diff if you do lots of ‘urban driving’ with a locked rear end. Real could mean cracking the welds in the spider/carrier or actually breaking teeth and other components.

If this were mainly for rallies in the countryside and HPDE, I think it would be ok.

PS: I had a locked end in one of my race cars. I used it on track and on hill climbs. We would always find bits of weld in the oil when we changed fluid (every couple races). After 3 years I replaced it with a race-optimized LSD ($2k). Upon tear down, we found multiple cracks in the welds that lock the diff. Note: this was on skinny tires (185/70R). On wide sticky tires I think we would be re-welding that locked diff every winter.

I just wanted to notify the board that the GT-2 2002 in the main ad sold 4 years ago with the M30 in it. I inquired about it and thought that price was way too cheap. It was a repost for the chopped convertible that looks like it needs....well, everything. Supposedly it is the second of the 2 race cars built by Gebhardt for that class though. Kind of a cool shell if someone wants a huge project. Anyhow......I told Bill I would let you guys know if your were interested that it sold.

The convertible shell I guess that guy is taking offers over $500.
