NOS C-pillar emblems...$$$

wowsawwwww,....flaskes IMHO
if you look closely to the letters you can see the black paint is crawling up to the top of the silver alu
and the V shape of the cut made in the M is also very representative, i have done that when repainting mines
weird he is not showing the badges out of the bag, sure we will see more imperfections, no excuse to say selling NIB
more over he is showing an old bag with the orange sitcker, but the badges are in the very modern white sticker bags
seems strange, might be the real ones but,...seems a good idea to ask those questions to the seller if one is really interested

Is it possible that he may have had NOS ones, fitted them onto a car, refurbed the old ones and put them in the bags that the NOS ones came in?

They look legit to me. I just sold a NOS set a few months ago. I felt a bit guilty at $150 because these things are so damn flimsy. All of the issues that you highlight below are identical to mine.

If you mean how the black paint creeps up on the B, then yeah compare to my pic. It does the same thing g. The paint is also extremely thin. It won’t hold up to the elements like the hood and trunk did to a degree. They are BMW parts, just made cheaply. My guess is that the bean counters wanted cost cutting in 1974. The plastic four bar grille was likely cheaper to manufacture and definitely faster/cheaper to assemble.

The enamel roundels are copper and likely nickel plated. I’m not sure what the silver color is but it is nickel in finish and it is plated over copper. With the enamel They probably cost 10x the price.
