Will they fit a stock Bavaria exhaust? I've already made the mistake of buying a tip that didn't fit. It was too big. I guess I should go measure the mm and report back. I have a brand new e3 stock exhaust.

if you have a 60mm tip, its worth some $$$ ... it fits the 3.0cs and early 911

Great, I gave it away, but I think I can be an Indian giver in this case.....sorry no disrespect to the much admired Indians. If someone else has a more politically correct way to say that, I'm all ears. Everyone is so sensitive these days, I don't want to offend the Snowflakes on here. Well sometimes it can be fun...but....not now.

Just checked. Yep 55mm ID. If that's the same as the OD on your Bav exhaust it should be fine. If not I have NOS shadowline exhaust trims in 45,48 and 52mm

I think LaJolla Independent (California) has a stash of these

What would a 48mm be for?...the guy that was the previous owner of my parts car sent me an NOS Silverline thirteen years (!) after I bought the car, was sure it was supposed to be for the car (72 3.ocs); obviously doesn't fit it, nor my 2002 (stainless from Carl)...

I purchased over sized ss tips for my 635 by accident. I drilled 3 small holes and tapped ss screws into them to secure them to the exhaust pipe and you cannot tell. Got the idea from a typical light fixture glass shade/globe with the three screws that allow removal and centering .

E34 525i

Also had some E30 M3 58mm tips which are gone now i believe. Also have 46mm, E28 fitment (exc. M5).

Found another pair of these 55mm ones. Brand new but no greaseproof paper.

2 are provisionally sold. So 2 are still available.

55 mm is readily available from the dealer this side of the oceaan. Purchased one a few weeks ago for 17 euro's, so a lot cheaper then 50 gbp as per above.

(I haven't compared current bmw's offer to a Original 70's part; your part may be 'more original' thus justifying the aksing price)

Don't mean to hack your offer, just want everyone to have the same info.
Erik.
