Not mine: rear disk brake conversion for 2800 CS

i would say that is a stretch, especially for the condition they are in. as they are now, the protection plates are bent to crap, will have to be straightened and refinished (NLA), the swingarms will have to be disassembled, blasted + powder coated. used swing arms have typically been valued at 500 to 750 bucks for the pair.

IF, they were stripped, cleaned and powder coated ... with reconditioned stub axles, new bearings, rebuilt brake calipers, then, even with used disks and reconditioned protection plates ... they would be worth between 1500 bucks +/- a little.

WHy don't you make an offer and tell him you'll pick it up since you're not THAT far from him, right?

I did this on my 2800 (after owning two 72 CSs) and I'm happy with the results. I don't think I spent this much though but it was close to $600.

Cheers
James

I'm afraid that's the going price just for the control arms.

Brakes you can get from an old E24.

Parking brake hardware, E12 for sure. Maybe older pre-82 E24 too.

Plus you're less than an hour away to pick them up.

Even if you'd find them for less, most likely shipping will run you $75-$100 because they're so dang heavy.
