Had great cars and coffee but did not make it home. Had problem getting off freeway cause car next to me was giving me thumbs up, not realizing I was trying to get off the freeway(blocking me getting to offramp. Also had Kia mechanic stop to tell me he could not help me but wanted to check out the "beautiful car" The tow truck. driver was also in love and even helped me push it in the garage. Was BRAND NEW, second tow, truck. Not ideal but felt lots of love

A while ago we heard briefly about an intermittent engine cut-out occurrence. Have the grounds, electrical connections wrt ignition (and fuel hoses while you're there) been examined/tidied?

Sorry to hear! On a more positive note, post of some pics of the two tone paint job on this car. Looks nice!
I did see this car in person at the ‘02 fest a couple of weeks ago and it does indeed look very nice. First time I’ve seen a two tone on a coupe that I liked. Super friendly owner as well.

Happy ending. Terry Connors to the rescue it was a shorting issue. This was the issue I had posted in the past and had not gotten around to figuring out. Cardboard provided a temporary fix.Tomorrow I will move the wire further away and get rid of the cardboard

Yes Dave - The worst day with a E9 always beats the best day at at work.

I am torn on the two tone. Note the red pin stipe Interested what the forum thinks

Art Wegweiser's Coupe, ILSE, now owned by his son Paul, is the only other Coupe I've seen with a 2 tone paint job.

I was installing a new red Bosch coil yesterday and for the label to be visible, the positive terminals are next to the AC drier. I thought at the time that this could be a bad situation. What I believe to be, the original coil had the negative terminals next to the AC drier. Which way was the original orientation for the coil?
Edit: According to the Blue Books the positive is towards the drier so I removed the middle spade which was too close to the drier.

When I see two tone paint on cars that don't typically have them it always looks like some repairs have been done to the body and they didn't want to try matching the paint.

Yes initially thought it was done to hide some rust repair, but after getting to know the owner I believe his story. He was in a minor accident and when the paint was redone he just wanted something unique. He loved it since so may Polaris E9 and this is very unique .I would have preferred not the two tone and for sure not the red pin stripe, but now that I have put Alpina wheels and replaced the huge tires it is growing on me. At cars and coffee people dig it so i am very torn.

Hmmm this hack armchair quarterback would made the "break" between the colors at the belt line, I think it would look a little more balanced. Saw Art's car in Breckenridge in '85 but though we had corresponded a bit via his (then) newsletter, did not have the opportunity to speak with him directly.

Anyone can post more two-tone CS pics?
