Now a wheel/tire question...

I know this has been asked (and answered) before but I wasn't paying attention then...

I'm setting up my original wheels, the 14" alloys. What size tires are recommended? I'd like to fill up the space a bit, what is the max tire size/width that works? Do you use the same size all around or stagger the front and back a bit with the tire width? Suggestions?

Hi Dave,

I used to run 225/14s Yokos but those are NLA.
Now the couper sports 205s Sumitomos, just a little less meaty looking, very pleased with them and they are a good price.

I run same size all around so I can rotate.

I have stock wheels and use Yokohama Avid TRZ which came from tire rack.
They are OK but are only T rated, and on certain grooved concrete roadways
the tires wiggle a little bit. It sort of reminds me of the feeling I got going
over steel grated draw bridges in the rain on my Triumph Bonnevile many
years ago.
