Where can I get the O-Ring/gasket that connects the speedo cable to the transmission (and keeps the transmission fluid in the transmission)? For my 1972 3.0CS Automatic

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

BMW is your best bet or if you have the old one or can "guess" the dimensions any decent hydraulic/automotive/agricultural store should have them, they are "standard" metric sizes

Measure the following:
1...diameter of the groove ie in the bottom of it
2...diameter of the body (top of groove)
3...width of groove,
4.. ID of the bore it's going into
Please measure in mm.
Let me know and I can look it up or if you feel enthusiastic try and get hold of the Parker O-ring handbook
might be available at:
www.parker.com/o-ring

Most Ace Hardware stores carry metric O rings, and all carry inch sizes. If you measure the spot it fits, you should be able to pick the right size from the ones available.

Good news!

Got an email from and Talked with CSi about the O-ring. They're going to hook me up. I'll let you all know how it goes. :D 8)
