Looks like a decent Bav in Anaheim - could be a good buy,, depending on PPI. Obviously not the original engine despite what the ad says. I'm no E3 expert, but this looks like a 2800 that maybe got a Bavaria tag slapped on the trunk? Certainly looks like 2800 trim, cloth interior, crank windows, etc. Looks like the Fjord was painted over Malaga. I'm wondering if there was a 5 speed put in and the seller hasn't driven it far or fast enough t find out. Seems odd to swap to a later M30 and not do the trans......One of you OC guys grab a coffee and go kick some tires....not too hard, though.

That does look pretty nice, you need to grab this one!!! LOL You don't see that interior too often. Already converted to injection unless Euro delivery. Looks like it was Malaga originally but hard for me to tell. Going by engine bay color. Grab it! Nice driver for the SoCal runs!

2800s never came injected even in Europa.

I'd be a little scared of this one. There's too much to fix. Why not go the extra effort to paint the trunk or the inner fenders?

I see four different colors:

Mike you are correct, I knew I saw an injected 1971 but it was a 3.0Si Bavaria which shocked me when I saw that. This car according to the VIN is a 2800 though, but with the Bavaria badge and the funky interior I thought maybe it was a rare South America (or wherever) injected 3.0Si like Mauricio's 3202011 in the E3 registry. But since it is indeed a 2800 the injection is obviously a later modification. And to Jay's point, the Seat Belt buzzer is interesting to see on a 2800 but it might have been on the cusp when being imported. I think I might take a break tomorrow and go check it out and be an annoying tire kicker in this case. Maybe even take an old vette out for a test spin to really piss them off. I drove an old Stingray years ago and it seemed like the hood never ended, I could barely see over it.

Repost deleted craig's list ads. They disappear so quickly.

They aren't going down. You've been observing this issue for a year. Something is going on with your home network or your internet service provider. Once a CL ad goes down you can't repost it. The links can expire though and they do get reactivated by the seller. The images stay up after the ads go down, but there isn't a good way to obtain the URL for old ad images.

I didn't re-post the ad. Just downloaded one of the photos to my computer, and then uploaded it to e9coupe.com.

Right now, the CL ad still seems to be active. But once it's gone, I know of no way to retrieve it (which isn't to say that no one knows of a way, though Markos' post below seems to say that it can't be done).
