Rob, I think the louvers on the engine cover shown in your picture look larger than those on the DKW F1 or F2.

No idea about the car, but the picture shows the Heldenplatz in Vienna/Austria where i live.........

There is a funny explanation of the DKW abbreviation in Polish fans of classic cars...

DKW - Dykta Klej i Woda - Plywood Glue & Water as the bodies were wooden and no very durable after some years of usage ...

but looking on the side wents shape (flaps) on a sides is more to me like:
