Hello all,
Got a message from our friend Christoph/ cs-werke that he has reproduced the orange cap that many of us miss. Most are broken and at best, beat up.
He has them in both sizes, for the 6 (14€) and 9 pins (16€). Plus shipping.

Cheers
Keshav

Another part that I didn't realize I needed until now. :) I see that my '73 has a 9 pin port. Does anyone know when it switched from 6 to 9?
Thanks for posting! If anyone is interested in a group buy to get a few of these to the states, I'd be interested (in either participating or helping organize).

The 9 pin is near the brake fluid reservoir and the 6 pin above the thermostat. I’ve never had the 6 pin and can’t answer the separate functions. Seen them on both carb and FI cars as in the pics

I have one by the brake fluid reservoir but I've not seen one over by the distributor, anyone have a close up of that location? The original spark plug harness used to have a wire that went to the diagnostic port by the brake fluid.

What specific info is sent through those ports? And is there an adapter that can be hooked up to it so you can read that info on a laptop or an iPhone?

Best pictures I've got on me. (No judging--I've cleaned a lot since then and repainted the mount, etc.)

My goodness Jay, no judgement to be made. Compared to my engine, I would eat off yours. :D Great pic of the distributor location, too!
Now I am so curious what these ports lead to/from. I will have to investigate my car and/or wiring diagram...

I still need this piece, which slides over #1 spark plug wire if anyone has one lying around for cash money :)
