For the first time, I read the window sticker in the corner of the driver's side. I just assumed it was intended to stay there, but after reading it, seems that it should be removed. Should I remove it?

And you got sticker shocked by the price?
There was one on my windshield that was suffering from age. It was shrunken and discolored so I removed it. Yours is in great shape and looks new, so it's not a hard decision to keep it even if there's a chance it's a repro. It seems by now that quite a few of our cars have survived this long because they were treasured and thus garaged and pampered, at least for the early part of their lives. Ones that weren't given the extra care succumbed to the Karmann tin worm and are no longer with us.
