p36-022 Bilstein "Comfort" struts

Bilstein built struts in 3 formats back in the '70s: sport, heavy duty and comfort--comfort struts had compression and rebound valving that was softer than both the sport and HD to make a smoother ride. Bilstein hasn't made this strut in about a decade.

I've got an old pair of used-but-good comfort struts (front) and I'd like to get rid of them. $75 takes the pair with gland nuts included. Anyone interested? These are perfect for the owner looking to soften the ride of their car with sports, HD or otherwise in it.

Interesting thing...

Yesterday I was looking at bavauto to see what they had for E9s. Under "Clearance Items", they show that they have one "new" (NOS?) Bilstein Comfort Shock in stock. Part# P36 0022. Clearance price is $50.25. Might make for a nice spare for whoever buys these ones.

For anyone else looking for softer shocks, Bilstein has a pretty affordable rebuilding program. http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/search-service/service/

Might be one of those winter projects when the car is laid up anyway....remove the shocks, ship and wait a few weeks.
