Is there a cross-reference list between the BMW paint names (Fjord, Nevada, Malaga, etc..) and codes at the major paint manufacturers?
Or would DuPont exactly know what to mix if I asked for BMW color Nevada?
Any info is appreciated.

Dupont paint reference

Yes, they would know by year and color name or code. Nevada is 001. Each of the major paint suppliers have thier own additional paint reference numbers though so you might want to print out the image with the Dupont code and mix ratio from thier archive.

If you can find any part or piece with the original color it might help as some colors shade a bit lighter or darker.

PPG, Sikkens and BASF also have the codes. For those of you not familiar with Sikkens, it is expensive but an extremely high end product.
