Hi, a question
the csl no city packs Light and second series. They have the black part under the bumpers
Question:Is it black paint? or anti-noise made black?

if I understand your question correctly, by 2nd series you mean the 2275xxx fuel injected Csl’s, right? If so, they don’t have the black paint on the front nose clip nor on the rear valance, like the early carb or the later 4355xxx’s have.

i have to take my statement back! I have just been informed by an uber Csl expert that the 2275xxx light weight Csl’s infact had/ have the nose and rear valance painted black! My apologies for my incorrect guidance. Although I have never seen one in original condition, the person who corrected me is just about the most knowledgeable Csl expert in my eyes.
Looking at the LeZebre list, here is 2275263 which is clearly stated as a lightweight car, with the black front and rear....

Funny I was going to inquire with you on this one. I have seen CSL brochures with black painted non-4355 injected cars (or at least injected era). You know how BMW likes to recycle photos though.

There are some funky CSL brochures. Like a RHD city pack with an Alpina wheel!

From what I’ve learnt, those are the relatively few factory light weight cars. Keeping in mind that ‘all’ of them have been restored at some stage and the new paint jobs might not reflect the original color/ combination.
