i see pastrami on rye and i only have 1 real thought - Katz's deli in NYC. what an amazing sandwich. there is a really good one in at the General Muir in ATL ... but the best is Katz's
Katz's is a gem. You can't beat the pastrami. Last time I was was there, maybe 10 yrs ago, they were $20 a sandwich and well worth it. I hate to think what they are now!

Let us not forget the Carnegie Deli featured in Woody Allen's "Broadway Danny Rose". They named a sandwich "Broadway Danny Rose."
Made in 1984 when Woody was peaking, this is one of my favorite Woodies. The ending is touching, his loyalty to his "acts" is unusual, and the Thanksgiving dinner he holds is so moving. Yeah, yeah, I know he is now known by that popular label, "The now disgraced Woody Allen." But 381,000 New Yorkers just voted for a disgraced former Governor who was attempting a political comeback by running for mayor of New York, the largest city in the country.
In this culture/country "The former Disgraced...." is now a badge of honor. What a horror show.

Someone has to do this....I have also enjoyed the most memorable pastrami on rye at Katz Deli. But if I happened to be there when Meg and Billy were there, I am certain I would remember that more!
last i knew, the Carnegie Deli closed at the end 2016. it had become a chain and the only location still in NYC is a storefront in Madison Square Garden

We took our daughters to Martha's Vineyard maybe 6 years ago, such a cool place. Since getting the crap scarred out of me seeing Jaws in the theater when I was 10, I have always been a big fan of the movie. A lot of it was filmed in Martha's Vineyard, we went to some of the locations, including renting bikes and riding out to 'Jaws' bridge. This being the. 50 anniversary of the film's release, there's probably all kinds of activities going on there. Looks like some guy replicated the 'Orca' from the film.
