Pedals are way too close together

The real answer is not really. The clutch and break pedal are welded on. You can buy some pedal covers that offset the clutch pedal to the left. You have no room to move the gas pedal.
 
you can take the pedals off and bend them ... but that would be a major PITA.

now if you use Mark Webber's Red Bull shoes, do you have to do a Daniel Ricciardo shoey with champagne?
 
I Annesely thought this was a stupid question when I posted it. I thought for sure that no one could have such tiny little feet that can manipulate those petals properly. They are really very close together. I will just have to continue to make due

Let's consider the possibilities:
(1) Germans have small feet. Nope
(2) E9 was designed for American where small feet dominate. Nope.
(3) you are well endowed when it comes to extremities.

And I find the pedals perfect for HT driving so I guess I'm the opposite of well endowed. Don't drive in your EEE running shoes because they have a wide sole for stability. Try some nice narrow driving shoes from Sparco or the newly resurrected Piloti.

While we are on the subject of pedals, is there a way to take some of the heft/pressure needed for the clutch?
 
On a prior car I also was irritated by the pedals ,so I removed the clutch and brake pedals heated and bent them , I then had to remove and reweld the face where your feet contact,for alignment, a lot of work , but the end result was good.

I have size 11 shoes. Are usually drive and Birkenstocks her tennis shoes. Either are too big. Don't want to put on my racing shoes just to go for a ride

Looks normal to me. I wear a size 12 and haven't had any issues with pedal clearance. I do know that driving in birkenstocks sucks. The sandals are very wide and it is easy for your foot to slip off the pedal. If it does, it is easy to get the edge caught behind the pedal. Tennis shoes should be fine, especially if they really are tennis shoes. :)
 
Are you talking about the gap between the tunnel and the brake pedal primarily... this is tight for me too with certain shoes. You could have someone pull the brake and clutch pedals and give them a gentle S curve to offset them to the left and up a bit.
