i agree, but its another option to get a part number.
It's the ease of finding and ordering all the little pieces that I will miss. Their shopping cart would tell you how many screws etc are needed for a particular part and you just pushed the button. I had a cart full of transmission seals, bushings, washers, nuts, bolts, shift rod pieces etc etc that I was about to order.
I guess it's Realoem copy and then paste into Tischer or ECS now.

My local dealer ran the site. Every time I bought a part there they charged about 20% over MSRP and gave me a BMW CCA discount to about 5% over MSRP. It is less expensive for me to buy parts from Tischer and have them shipped than to buy from my local dealer.

During my days as a parts manager at a Dealership it was a common practice by most dealers to use a pricing matrix that increased the prices over MSRP based on a couple of criteria. Always better to buy at a " cost Plus %" than "List less %" because list can be what ever the management/owners decides. We had a turn signal bulb that got bumped to almost $6. I couldn't look someone in the eye and charge that much for a bulb so most parts like that were manually adjusted back to MSRP.
