Hello!

I have a 400 mm Petri for sale.
It has an 02 hub but you probably know that it will fit all E9's / E3's too.
I can replace the horn button contact pin for a contact ring.

Condition 9 out of 10. A rare opportunity.

I'm located in the Netherlands and willing to ship world wide. PayPal accepted.

The selling price will be 4 digits ( you won't find a better one ;) )

Interested? Send me a message.

Kind Regards,

Hans

Hello Chris,
No worries, an 02 owner bought it.
BTW, why would the 02 hub not work with a E9 horn contact?

Hello,

The first photo shows the sold Petri ( 02 hub ).

02 hubs and E9 hubs are ( almost ) identical ( with the exception of the CSL hub, which is longer ).

If you want an 02 hub, use the contact pin ( photo 2 ).

If you want an E9 hub, use the contact ring ( photo 3 ).

Switching is very easy. Not the way it supposed to be, but no one can tell, unless you remove the steering wheel from your car.

1 ) Actually... you can tell. You could measure the hub cover/protector. The 02 hub cover has a different diameter ( 100 mm ).

2) Actually...you can't tell if someone used an E9 hub and an 02 hub cover, or an 02 hub and an E9 hub cover, hahaha

I offered the conversion as a free option ( scroll to top ).

Kind Regards,

Hans

From reading the first post I can see that Hans was doing everything right. He offered the wheel genuine to condition at market value price.

He also noted the changes that needed to be made to fit an e9 and offered to make them.

I give him a tip of the hat for good work & also following up on questions that altered his original description. A simple pm is always an easy way to sort out specific questions IMHO.

Always like seeing what comes up, this was one of the more interesting wheels :)

Hans, can you educate us on the phillips screws vs. hex screws found on these? Any rhyme or reason?

Actually, I don't have an answer.
I've seen both. I guess, the early ones had the Phillips screws, but I'm not sure.
